Why I Use Squarespace: A Popular Website Builder
We'll dissect three compelling reasons that made Squarespace a shining star in my website creation journey….honestly, it's more like a hero that came and saved me from Wordpress despair.
First, a little back story of my personal experience. I started my first blog several years ago and I went to Wordpress like any good blogger should do.
I login, I cry, I login again, I cry….LOL…why oh why though? Well, because if you have never used WordPress before and you just login thinking you can build a website like everyone else…..think again.
Ok, so I got a design that started looking good. Alright desktop looks good! Now, let's optimze for mobile….oh no? Wait what? This does NOT work!!!
Customer support calls later…nope, we still have issues.
Ok, let's post our first blog…wait what??? A million plugins to add that conflict with each other….an unending amount of youtube videos later…delelt all plugins….start over.
In summary…….Nobody GOT TIME FOR THAT!!!
Now as a designer, I put myself in my client’s shoes and do I want to hand off a beautiful website that they will feel that same frustration trying to edit themselves when we are done??
…just the simple tasks of making tweaks, adding more blog posts…adding more pages?
Um nope! I do not want them to go through that.
